Day Wise Itinerary
  • Day 1
    Pick up and a ride to Gangtok from the Airport/Railway Station (5hrs/128kms/in a rental vehicle)

    Meet and greet at the Airport/NJP Railway Station after which the journey commences. Duration: 5hrs

    Distance: 128kms to Gangtok (5,500ft.) Overnight stay at Gangtok

  • Day 2
    A trip to Tsomgo Lake and its nearby attractions

    Destination: Tsomgo Lake (12,400ft) and 34kms from Gangtok Duration: Depends on the weather but normally 3hrs

    Trip Description: After a hearty breakfast start the tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400ft, 34km). The lake is 1 km long, oval in shape and 50ft deep. Here you can witness snow, snowfall (if you’re lucky) & Yak Riding. Visit to the legendary Baba Mandir. Optional tour to Nathula Pass (The Indo-China border) depends upon the availability of permit which costs an additional of Rs 5000 per vehicle (Monday the pass is closed). Overnight stay at Gangtok.

     

  • Day 3
    Half day sightseeing in Gangtok & head towards Pelling for the continuation of the tour.

    After breakfast, visit Ropeway. Do-Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Sunday Closed) & Flower Show (Orchid). Drive towards Pelling.

    Overnight stay at Pelling.

  • Day 4
    Half day Sightseeing at Pelling and transfer to Darjeeling.

    Description of the tour: After breakfast start for half day sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Palace Ruins. Head towards Darjeeling Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  • Day 5
    Sightseeing in Darjeeling and its nearby attractions

    Description of the tour: Early Morning (at around 4 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak) (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasay Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple (4hrs from 9.00 to 13.00hrs). Evening free for shopping and personal activities.

    Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  • Day 6
    Drop to Bagdogra Airport / NJP railway station according to the schedule.

    Tour Ends.
